Bertha S. Menzler (Peyton),        1871 - 1947. This is most likely Menzler's Annisquam, Mass. residence. After marrying artist Alfred Peyton, the couple split their time between Gloucester, Mass. and Arizona, painting New England harbor scenes and landscapes as well as western landscapes. Educated at the Art Institute of Chicago, she regularly exhibeted there, the Paris Salons, Brooklyn Museum, Corcoran Art Gallery, the Detroit Museum of Art, and more.
