Helen Farr Sloan, 1911 - 2005.
Helen Farr studied at The Art Student's League with one of her teachers being artist and leading member of the Ashcan School, John Sloan. Farr was director of The Society of Independent Artists from 1940 - 1944.
"Beer" was produced before Helen Farr married John Sloan in 1944, of which you can see similarities to his work such as in "Beer" which is featured in American Fine Art magazine, July/August 2025.
