John Sharman (1879-1971) was a student of Charles Woodbury at the Ogunquit School in Maine. He was a well credentialed artist with memberships in the Philadelphia Art Club, Boston Artist Guild, and the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts. His modernist execution of color and appreciation for composition and nature is well illustrated in this collection.
